Extended Spring Break Information and Assignments - Algebra 1+
Ms. Lowrance and I have posted some Delta Math assignments for you (you're welcome!). Please consider the following:
POSTED ASSIGNMENTS FOR WEEK OF 4/27-5/11
These assignments are optional - no grade will be given or put into SMS.
1. Work on the optional Delta Math Extra Credit work. If you qualify, you can up your Quarter 3 letter grade in math. Click here to see if you qualify for a possible letter-grade boost. But even if you don't qualify, this is a good review and practice for what we covered in Quarter 3.
2. Work on the SCS Packet. Here are the SCS assignments and helpful videos.
3. Go to Master Connect "quiz" (not a quiz) to see how you've mastered transformation of quadratic equations (section 9-3 in the packet).
Go through your Clever Portal (as usual) to get there. See how well you mastered the material.
Contact me after you are finished and I'll send you the answer key. Also, contact me if you are stuck on a problem.

- Here is a MasteryConnect "quiz" over last week's SCS work, finding the zeros of a quadratic equation. Go through your Clever Portal (as usual) to get there. See how well you mastered the material. Contact me after you are finished and I'll send you the answer key. Also, contact me if you are stuck on a problem.
- Click here for this week's SCS math packet about Simplifying Rational Expressions. I've included two videos explaining how to do the work. SCS also supplied the answers to this week's work. I recommend you only visit the answer key until after you have tried the work and watched the videos. Remember, the goal here is to LEARN, not pass a weekly test (that doesn't exist).
- Go to the site Blog and post something that has surprised you about your stay-at-home time.

- These assignments are to help you.
- Eventually we will all be back to business-as-usual.
- Graduation requirements will not have changed.
- Vo-Tech and college admission expectations will not have changed.
- You will want to be ready to move forward in your classes and your life.
- Thirteen assignments aren’t new – you may have already completed some or all of these.
- Some assignments are easy (review) and some address new content.
- I have included a “watch video” feature for all assignments. (Watch them!)
- Due Dates should be considered a pacing guide. Students will not be penalized for "late" work. The older assignment "due dates" have been changed to April 5th. The newer ones are "due" on April 12th.
Stay safe, everyone, and keep others safe.
